Volodymyr Anan’yev Involved in “Case of Commandos” Was Under Mental Examination

Mr. Volodymyr Anan’yev, a person involved in one of the Crimean “Cases of Commandos” was mentally examined.

As the CHRG reports, he has been returned to Pre-Trial Detention Center no 2.

In February 2024 the FSB is known to have been claimed a detention of a three person group in Crimea (V.Anan’yev, V.Bodnar, and a woman of the name of Shevchenko) who were said to prepare a car bomb attack on the SBU (Security Service of Ukraine) request.

It is known at the moment that Mr. Anan’yev was detained on February 2, 2024, and taken into custody by the occupation “court” on February 5. Volodymyr is charged with RF CC Article 222.1-1 (Illegal purchase, transfer, sales, storage, transportation or bearing explosive substances).

Volodymyr Anan’yev was a public figure of Crimea, he acted in legal and journalistic spheres, and fully participated in the land reform defending the rights of landowners. He has always supported the faithful of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.

As the CHRG has informed, at least 35 citizens of Ukraine are held in confinement under the cases of “Ukrainian Commandos and Spies” including Volodymyr Dudka, Oleksiy Bessarabov, Dmytro Shtyblikov, Hennadiy Limeshko, Leonid Parkhomenko, Kostiantyn Davydenko, Dmytro Dolhopolov, Anna Sukhonosova, Yunus Masharipov, Ivan Yatskin, Halyna Dovhopola, Vladyslav Yesypenko, Yevhen Petrushyn, Stanislav Stetsenko (Khudoley), Kyrylo Barannyk, Serhiy Voynarovskyy, Viktor Podvalnyy, Vitaliy Talavira, Denys Petranov, Ihor Kupych, Oleksandr Lytvynenko, Serhiy Kryvosheyin, Kostiantyn Yevmenenko, Ihor Zorin, Mykhaylo Chupil.

This list also includes at least 10 persons who were abducted in the Zaporizhzhia or Kherson Regions after February 24, 2022: Artem Baranov, Oleksandr Novatskyy, Vitaliy Rastorhuyev, Oleksandr Zarivnyy, Hennadiy Lasinskyy, Serhiy Tsyhipa, Mykola Petrovskyy, Serhiy Kotov, Yaroslav Zhuk, Volodymyr Kryvtsun. These are the cases in which illegal methods of investigating and torturing to obtain confessions, violation of the presumption of innocence, distribution of “confession” videos by the RF FSB through the Russian media have been recorded.

At least 6 illegitimate sentences in these cases were awarded in 2023.
