Three more women have been charged with “state treason” in the occupied Crimea
As the occupying “prosecution office” alleges a 28 years old resident of Dzhankoy district is suspect of her collaboration with the Ukrainian intelligence.
In March 2024 the woman allegedly made photos of the location of the air defence sites and the russian military deployments in Crimea. As per the case-file she allegedly got the remuneration for that, equaling to RUB 15 000 (UAH 4 500). The woman was apprehended and charged with the “state treason”.
Besides, in Sevastopol the criminal proceedings were initiated against 42 years old woman and her 24 years old daughter, both charged with “state treason”. The occupiers suspect them of the collaboration with the officers of the Ukrainian special services and the transfer of the information about the russian military facilities to the Main Intelligence Department.
“A young woman opted for the remunerated confidential cooperation with the officers of Ukraine to the detriment of the security of the RF. She engaged her mother to that activity. In September 2023 she transferred the photos of the sites of the armed forces of the Russian Federation made by her mother through an internet-messenger to the channel controlled by the Main Intelligence Department of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine,” – the occupying prosecution office stated.
As the Crimean Human Rights Group informed at least 20 women from Crimea and the regions of Kherson and Zaporizhzhya have been detained in Crimea and the RF.
