As Crimean Solidarity reports, pensioners Servet Haziev and Dzhemil Hafarov suffer from numerous chronic diseases and diseases acquired during imprisonment.
“Dzhemil Hafarov had a 3-rd group of disability even before his arrest in 2019 – he had a 4th stage chronic kidney disease and heart diseases caused by it. According to his lawyer Rifat Yahin, being held in a pre-trial detention facility poses a threat to his health. Without getting any aid in the detention facility, Hafarov reported that relied only on medicines sent by his relatives” the activists wrote.
According to their data, Servet Haziyev suffered from elevated blood pressure even before the arrest and in the pre-trial detention facility he had a micro stroke. The prison infirmary denied him hospitalization and called him a pretender. A part of Haziyev’s face squirmed and he acquired speech disorder.
The defence emphasized to court that further imprisonment posed a threat to the pensioner’s health and intended to at least achieve home arrest for him.
