The Head of the Department of Humanitarian Policy of Kherson District State Administration and the Head of civic organization ATO Veterans Union Oleksandr Zarivnyi kidnapped from Kherson Region is held in pre-trial detention facility No. 2 of Simferopol and has been accused of espionage (Article 276 of the Criminal Code of the RF, imprisonment for a term from ten to twenty years).
As the CHRG reports with a reference to its sources in Crimea, a lawyer appointed for Oleksandr Zarivnyi is Oleksandr Polianskyi, formerly a lawyer appointed by Aziz Akhtemov.
“We have conclusive evidence that “lawyers” Polianskyi and Hlushko are involved in unlawful actions of executioners of the Federal Security Service in regard to Asan and Aziz Akhtemov. As a consequence of their complicity in unlawful actions, the punishers are able to formalize the “confessions” got by them by torture”, the Head of the Mejlis Refat Chubarov wrote about the lawyer.
We remind you that Oleksandr Zarivnyi was kidnapped on the 17th of March. On that day the Russians broke in the family house in Oleshky, threatened the man’s wife and daughter with a gun and, soon after that, took him away in handcuffs in an unknown direction.
As the captive’s son Oleksandr told Suspilne TV, Zarivnyi was held in Kherson temporary detention facility occupied by the Russian military for around 4 weeks. After that he was moved to Simferopol.
