The occupational “Dzhankoy District Court” sentenced Vyacheslav Piskunov, a citizen of Ukraine, to 14 years in the penal colony in the case of attempted assassination of the Russian military man.
This is reported by the Prosecutor’s General Office of Russia.
Vyacheslav Piskunov aged 62 was found guilty of attempted assassination, illegal manufacture of an explosive device, illegal acquisition and possession of weapons and explosives. In addition to the sentence term, the Ukrainian was fined RUR600,000.
According to the occupiers, last September Mr. Piskunov was allegedly contacted by an SBU man. This SBU man is said to have persuaded Vyacheslav to collaborate with the aim of assassinating a serviceman who used to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but after the occupation of Crimea joined the Russian armed forces.
Later, Piskunov came to Dzhankoy and rented an apartment close to the military man’s house. According to the investigation, the Ukrainian citizen made an explosive as instructed by the SBU and then on September 23, 2023, attached it to the car of the alleged victim and set it off though this military man was not in the car at that time.
The FSB detained Piskunov and opened a criminal case against him.
However, the “Investigative Committee” called the citizen of Ukraine “a resident of Czechia” who temporarily lived in Crimea.
