Within the framework of the Army 2020 Russian Military Technical Forum, many militaristic events are being held in Sevastopol from August 27 through 29.
At the same time, measures to protect people from contracting coronavirus infection on the forum are not followed.
In particular, on August 29, a military equipment demonstration of the RF Armed Forces is held in the Patriot Park.
There are also mobile recruitment points for military service under contract.
Hundreds of local residents attended the events.
At the same time, the observance of the mask regime was not ensured, the necessary distance, which allows avoiding infection, people do not observe.
We would like to remind readers that similar events on these dates are also held in the occupied Kerch.
Such actions of the representatives of the RF Armed Forces and the occupation government of Crimea violate many norms of international law. In particular, Art. 51 of the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War, Art. 39 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child. Organization and running of such events during a pandemic without observing sanitary standards creates additional threats to the life and health of local residents.
