Hennadiy LYMESHKO, charged in Crimea in 2018 allegedly for preparation of sabotage against infrastructure facilities, served the term of unlawful imprisonment, however new proceeding has been allegedly initiated against him.
In February 2025 Hennadiy LYMESHKO should have been freed after he had served his term. Nevertheless, he was immediately transported to the Centre of detention of foreigners. As his spouse Iryna informed the Crimean Human Rights Group, later she was informed that Hennadiy had been transported from the Centre to SIZO. To date he is assumably detained in SIZO of the city of Stavropol.
Presumably yet another criminal proceeding has been launched against Hennadiy LYMESHKO for allegedly “public incitements for extremist activities”.

The Security Service of Ukraine acknowledged this information on apprehension of the Ukrainian “agent” to be “yet another provocation” by the FSB of russia.
On 10 May 2018 “the judge” of «Sudak city court» Yevhen RYKOV found Hennadiy LYMESHKO, the national of Ukraine, guilty of storage and production of explosives under the Articles 222-2, 222.1-2, 223.1-2 of the Criminal Code of RF. The judge substantiated that H. LYMESHKO according to the pre-trial investigation “kept weapons being guided by the hatred caused by the annexation of Crimea by russia” which was the aggravating circumstance. H. LYMESHKO concluded an agreement with the pre-trial investigation. He was sentenced to 8 years of imprisonment.
