The FSB detained a Novooleksiyivka resident for serving in Noman Chelebidzhikhan Battalion as it was said. According to CHRG information, this is Khalil Kurtamet, aged 57.
The press office of the occupation agency reported that “the detainee took an active part in the activities of the battalion” and also “transferred money to equip the battalion’s base in the village of Chonhar, Kherson region.”
A criminal case has been opened against Kurtamet – “for serving in an illegal armed formation”, and he may be sentenced to 15 years in confinement.
According to the Crimean Human Rights Group information, in 2022 at least 15 persons, including citizens of Ukraine abducted by the Russian military in the South of Ukraine after February 24, 2022, were deprived of liberty on charge of serving in N.Chelebidhikhan Battalion.
