An 18-Year-Old Man Detained in Simferopol for Allegedly Preparing a Terrorist Attack

The occupiers detained an 18-year-old resident of Simferopol on suspicion of preparing to set fire at a building in the city.

According to the occupier’s ‘Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation’, an 18-year-old resident of Simferopol, whose name has not been disclosed, is charged with preparing to commit a terrorist attack (part 1 of Article 30, part 1 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

‘The young man was a member of the international neo-Nazi movement, whose activities were recognised as terrorist and banned on the territory of the Russian Federation by the decision of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation. In order to destabilise the activities of the authorities, he planned to set fire at a building in the city of Simferopol. To do this, he made the appropriate devices and looked for accomplices among local youth,’ the occupiers claim.

It is alleged that during searches at the detainee’s place of residence, flammable substances, knives, pepper spray and other items were found.

The occupation law enforcers claim that the detainee pleaded guilty.

At the request of the ‘investigators’, the occupant’s ‘court’ imposed a measure of restraint in the form of detention.
