Occupiers Have Arrested a Sevastopol Resident in Case of “Fakes about Russian Army”

In the occupied Crimea, a 54-year-old resident of Sevastopol was detained in the criminal case about the dissemination of “fakes” into the Russian army (Criminal Code Article 207.3).

This is reported by the occupation “police” of the city.

The name of the detainee has not been disclosed. He was also charged under administrative article (CoAO Article 20.3-1) for demonstrating a banned symbols.

“A 54-year-old self-employed man who provides services in the field of advertising published symbols of organizations banned and recognized terrorist in the Russian Federation, including Ukrainian neo-Nazi formations, on his social media page. He also posted materials from enemy Internet resources about the actions of the Russian Armed Forces in Ukraine, which do not correspond to reality,” the occupiers said.

“Leninskiy District Court” of Sevastopol arrested the man for 5 days.

As informed, a new practice of persecuting Crimeans for demonstrating Ukrainian symbols, Ukrainian songs and slogans has been developed in Crimea, using CoAO Article 20.3. According to the CRIMEAN PROCESS, at least 59 cases of punishment under this article were recorded over the last year, including administrative arrest (26 people) and fines (33 people).
