A local resident suspected by the occupiers of allegedly serving in the Crimean Tatar Noman Chelebidzhykhan Crimean Tatar Battalion was detained in Henichesk, in the occupied part of the Kherson Region. This was reported by the “Investigation Committee of Russian Federation”.
A 55-year-old man, as the occupiers informed, joined the battalion in December 2015, and actively participated in the “public protest events”, produced and presented so called “propaganda materials in the mass media”, and “campaigned for the forcible alienation of Crimea from Russia”.
A criminal case under RF CC Article 208-2 (service in a military formation that is not covered by federal law for the purpose that contradicts the RF interests) has been started against the detained. His personal data remain unknown.
