Other 512 persons released from the Russian captivity, and 654 families of persons kept now unlawfully by Russia, may receive UAH 100,000 of state aid each.
This decision was taken on July 31, 2023, at the meeting of the Special Commission at the Ministry for Integration that the Crimean Human Rights Group is a member of.
The Ministry for Integration will transfer the funds to them against receiving their applications and required documents.
The commission also decided to allocate funds for reimbursing the costs of professional legal assistance to 2 citizens kept in the deprivation of liberty sites. In addition, the Commission recognized 78 persons who had submitted applications and supporting documents as members of families of prisoners.
To remind: the Commission was established in December 2022 to enforce Law of Ukraine “On Social and Legal Protection of Persons Deprived of Personal Freedom as a Result of Armed Aggression Against Ukraine, and Members of Their Families.” It is a successor of an interdepartmental commission that functioned in accordance with the CMU resolution.
The Crimean Human Rights Group was re-elected to the Commission.
