Mr.Enver Krosh, a Crimean Tatar activist, is undergoing a psychiatric examination in the special hospital in Simferopol at the request of the FSB. Lawyer Emil Kurbedinov informed Crimean Solidarity thereof, noting that he considered the procedure illegal.
Mr.Krosh was supposed to be present at the hearing in the “Kievskiy District Court” on the extension of his pre-trial restriction in the pre-trial detention center, but the court held the meeting without his attendance. The lawyer objected to the consideration of the processing without the client.
By decision of the Crimean FSB, Enver Krosh will be kept at the Crimean Republican Psychiatric Hospital No. 1 named after N.I. Balaban.
“For many years, I think the FSB has been applying it unreasonably,” said Emil Kurbedinov. He calls it another act of pressure on activists.
To remind: on August 11, Russian security men searched homes of four Crimean Tatar families in the temporarily occupied Crimea. he Russians broke into the houses at 4:00am. Searches were carried out in the city of Dzhankoy and in the Dzhankoy district, these were families of Seitiay Abbozov, Enver Krosh, Vilen Temeryanov and Murat Mustafayev.
After the detention, Enver was being beaten by the Russian security men for an hour and a half on the way from Dzhankoy to Simferopol.
Mr. Refat Chubarov Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, noted that Enver Krosh had been already tortured in 2015: then in the basement of the Dzhankoy department of the “police” they put him on a chair, with a bag on the head, handcuffed his hands behind, and attached wires to his fingers, turning on the current. At that time, they tried to force him to work for the FSB – to report on his own people. Enver Krosh refused, endured everything, and was released, Mr.Chubarov said.
