On the eve of the Crimean Tatar Flag Day, celebrated on June 26, “warnings” were handed over to activists in the occupied peninsula.
In particular, the occupation “police” of Crimea handed Zair Smedliayev, a Crimean Tatar activist, “a warning on inadmissibility of law violation.”
The “warning” signed by the deputy chief of the “Krasnogvardeisky district police unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation ” states that an uncoordinated rally is planned to be held on the territory of Crimea.
“Participants of the action are prohibited from hiding their faces, carrying weapons, disturbing public order and carrying out extremist activities,” the “warning” says.
The ‘document’ indicates also the articles, that the action participants may be held liable under: Articles of RF Code of Administrative Offences 20.2 (Violation of the established procedure for organizing or holding a meeting, rally), 20.2.2 (Organization or holding of a public event without filing a notice of holding a public event, in accordance with the established procedure), 20.3 (Propaganda or public demonstration of Nazi attributes or symbols), Articles of RF Criminal Code 212 (Riots), 212.1 (Repeated violation of the established procedure for organizing or holding a meeting), 222 (Illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation or carrying of weapons), 280 (Public appeals to extremist actions), 280.1 (Public appeals to actions aimed at violation of the Russian Federation territorial integrity).
According to the information of Crimean Tatar activists, such ‘warning notices’ of the Prosecutor’s Office have been received by Crimean residents in different districts of the peninsula.
