In the occupied Crimea, Russian Federal Security Service officers kidnapped and have been holding a Crimean woman, a resident of Dzhankoy District, 28-year-old Lera Dzhemilova, in an undisclosed location for more than eight months.
This was reported to the representatives of the human rights initiative Irade by the mother of the missing Lenora Dzhemilova, ‘Tribunal. Crimean Episode’ wrote.
She said that in May 2024, after a search, her daughter was taken to a ‘magistrate court’. There, a decision was made to impose an administrative arrest for 15 days for allegedly refusing to undergo a drug test.
Later, the FSS officers informed Lera’s sister that she would not be released after the end of her sentence, but would be taken to the FSS. Since then, the family has not known anything about the girl’s whereabouts or legal status.
The mother of the Crimean woman appealed to the FSS department and received a response that no criminal cases had been initiated or investigated against Dzhemilova.
At the same time, the Russian prosecutor’s office stated that there were no grounds for a prosecutorial response, explaining that a detailed response to the complaint about the abduction was impossible due to the prohibition to disclose state secrets.
